Windows Phone operator change guide

Requirements
- A PC running Windows 10 or 11 (older version might work although untested)
- A suitable USB cable for the phone
- A USB 2.0 port (USB 3.0 may not work)
- Any lumia phone
Before you start
DISCLAIMER The process described later will erase EVERYTHING from the phone, as it will install it's factory OS verion. Please back up any important files to an SD Card or PC.
- Download and install Windows Device Recovery Tool from here (this package includes required drivers)
- Download and extract Windows Phone Internals from here
- Launch Windows Phone Internals
- Connect your phone
Let's start!
- Make sure the phone is detected - WPInternals should look like on this photo
- Go to lumiafirmware.com
- Select your phone model (eg. RM-1045 - Lumia 930)
- Look for your desired operator/country variant (eg. 059W5N7 - RM-1045 VAR EURO PL CV BR_ORA for Polish CV Bright Orange color)
- Click on "Show downloads VERSION"
- Download the highlighted ffu file
- After it finishes downloading go back to WPI and click on "Flash", your window should look like this
- Click on "Select the FFU-file to flash the phone..." under "Flash original FFU" and select the downloaded FFU file.
- Allow the phone to reboot to flash mode, this may take a while depending on the current OS and the phone
- The flashing begins. This process may take up to 15 minutes. Make sure not to touch the phone as it may disrupt the process. Please be patient and wait.
- The phone will restart when the process finishes. When the phone boots to the setup it is safe to disconnect.
- You have successfully flashed another operator's ROM onto your Lumia!
Known issues
- The product code will not change, that means when Windows Device Recovery Tool is used to reflash the phone the stock OS will be restored and the operator change will be lost.
